8th Annual Art and Jazz Charity Garden Party a Huge Success!

On Thursday September 29th, proud supporters had the opportunity to escape to Vegas for a night while wining, dining and playing some of the most popular casino games at Pathways to Perennials Eighth Annual Art and Jazz Charity Garden Party. In the three hour event, $3000 was raised for Southlake Regional Cancer Unit, bringing the eight year total over $21,000.00. Since statistics say that by 2014, in York Region alone, as many as 4,500 new cases will be diagnosed each year, almost double the provincial average increase, it is an important cause dear to the hearts of many.

The attendees enjoyed a beautiful evening of delectable food donated by Summerfresh, and an interactive menu prepared by Absolutely Fine Foods while enjoying the incredible sounds of The Trilogy Jazz Project.  Visitors were able to peruse the fragrant perennial beds and lifestyle displays that were lit up with outdoor lighting.

International sculptor, Brett Davis of Age of Bronze Studio in King had transformed a room in the Garden Boutique into a private art museum that guests could also enjoy.

The evening was capped off by a fabulous raffle in which many companies came together to donate prizes to such a good cause. The raffle featured more than two dozen fantastic pieces of interior and exterior décor, plants, trees and garden accessories. As a new feature this year, guests were given the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets prior to the event in case they were unable to attend, as well as win raffle tickets playing games such as roulette, black jack and crown and anchor. A very special Thank you goes out to all of our proud sponsors and to those guests who so generously show their support! Success comes easily when like minds commit to work together towards a common goal.
